UTV wants to be a global player in the entertainment industry. The company has announced its floating of eight new international channels, targeting all sections, including kids, youth, and families by investing $200 million.
Four of the channels will kick off in August and the other four by this year's end.
Ronnie Screwvala's promoted UTV also plans to make 12 films in a month. The company will be listed on London Stock Exchange next month.
It may be recalled that Walt Disney acquired a 15% stake in the company. .
