cars for sale in ontario

She's not a million-seller, but singer

Pictures of Chantal Chamandy, which are plastered on nearly every open space in the TTC, has everyone from people on the street to music industry types scratching their heads.

They can't figure out why this mysterious woman, touted in her ads as a singer, has suddenly popped up everywhere – on the sides of buses, in subway cars, television commercials, radio spots and on CD covers in Dollarama stores across Canada.

This dark-haired beauty seems to have materialized out of nowhere. And Chamandy, 36, a Montreal chanteuse, is tickled pink by all the confusion. It's part of her plan.

"People think, `Who is that woman?'" the Egyptian-born songstress says. "Then they go look me up on the internet. Then they hear my music."

Even though she has experience in showbiz, Chamandy was hardly a household face until the ad blitz began.
